Three Generations,
One Table
"Good food doesn't need to announce itself. It just needs to be honest." — Isabelle Pelletier, Head Chef
Marcel Pelletier opened Maison Pelletier in 1987 with a simple belief: that Old Montreal deserved a proper French table. He'd spent a decade working in brasseries in Lyon and Paris before coming home, bringing with him a respect for technique and an obsession with getting the small things right.
His daughter Isabelle took over the kitchen in 2008. She trained under him for years before doing her own time in France — returning with a modern sensibility that never loses sight of the classics. The menu evolves with the seasons, but the soupe à l'oignon and the tartare have been on the menu since day one.
Today, Isabelle's son Louis manages the floor and the wine program. Three generations in, the dining room still fills every night. The food is still made from scratch. Nothing has been outsourced, pre-made, or microwaved.
